Weatherford Academy Early Learning Center Programs

Weatherford Academy provides services for children ages Infants 6 weeks to 4 years old.

WAELC believes that all students well prepared for the future must be inquisitive and self-reliant with the ability to acquire knowledge independently by exercising sound judgment. Through the intrinsic relationship between the school and the home, WAELC gives the child a sense of the future in the direction toward academic success.

All children enrolled will participate in various activities such as: academics, arts and crafts, music and movement, computer classes, gross motor skills and social skills.

$150.00 per week : Parents who have children enrolled in this program are required to pay the full tuition on a weekly or monthly basis. All weekly payments are due on Monday morning. All monthly payments are due on the first of each month.

WAELC CCAP TUITION PROGRAM ( Childcare Assitance Program):

As part of the state establishing a unified early childhood system, the Department of Education (LDE) operates the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP). The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) helps low-income families pay for child care while working or attending school or training. Parents can apply for CCAP by submitting an application through the Department of Education.

Like Head Start, Early Head Start shares the approach of developing solid learning skills at a young age. These cognitive and behavioral skills play a vital role as young children begin to grow up. With our youngest participants only six weeks old, we are dedicated to extending the Weatherford Academy brand of quality educational childcare to infants and toddlers. The Early Head Start program provides quality child care, educational and recreational services to infants and toddlers between the ages of 6 weeks to 2 years. Our Creative Curriculum for Family Child Care includes dramatic play, music, books, puzzles and art. These activities help promote interest among parents in the activities planned for their children. We also actively engage parents to participate in their child’s education and recognize the importance of regular attendance to the foundation of their child’s educational career.

For children enrolled in our Elementary Program we include extended hours before and after their regular school schedule.  During these hours the children are involved in center based activities organized games and free play.

We recognize that not all day care situations are right for every child or their parents, and so we have an initial two week probation period where it is mutually agreed that either WAELC or the parent may terminate with no notice. After that initial two weeks, week's notice or two week's tuition must be paid upon termination.
