Welcome To Weatherford Academy

Home Of The Bumblebees

An exciting private school located in Westwego, Louisiana on the Westbank of New Orleans.

The academy was established by Martha Weatherford in December of 2010 as a child care center that

obtained a Louisiana Quality Star Rating "4 Star Provider Level Rating " serving children ages 6 weeks

to 5 year old.

After an amazing 3 years in child care, the academy relocated to 613 Fourth Street in Westwego, LA and

now has added PreK to Kindergarten. This newly renovated facility will now house both the

Weatherford Academy Early Learning Center (WAELC) and Weatherford Academy (WA).
Elementary school is a time to thrive, learn and discover interests and talents. Child care services received

in the early years helps to formulate the foundation which a child draws on as his or she develops skills to

become a productive citizen.
